Vapi separates usage from support. Every account pays for the minutes its agents run, at a pre-paid hosting rate of $0.05 per minute plus the cost of each model provider. A success package is optional and adds phone numbers, concurrent calls, data retention and support. Vapi states that models are passed through at cost with no markup on every package, and that every plan includes unlimited agents.

How the rate is built

How Vapi pricing per minute is built up

Vapi's pricing calculator adds its hosting fee to the cost of each layer of the voice agent. The calculator's default providers are Deepgram for transcription, OpenAI for the language model and ElevenLabs for the voice. If you pick other providers, those layers change price. Transport is charged by the provider, and Vapi's own telephony and SIP are listed as free.

What a 2-minute call costs on Vapi

Vapi's calculator estimates $82 to $129 for 1,000 minutes a month on its default providers with Vapi telephony and no success package. That works out to about $0.082 to $0.129 per minute, so a 2-minute call costs about $0.16 to $0.26.

If your calls go out through Twilio at $0.014 per minute, the top of the range becomes about $0.143 per minute, or $0.29 for a 2-minute call. A Core package adds $29 a month and a Pro package adds at least $999 a month. HIPAA adds $2,000 a month if you need it.

One figure is unclear from the page. Vapi lists its own telephony as free but does not publish which countries it covers, so teams calling India, the UAE or other markets should check the telephony cost for their numbers before relying on the low end of the range.
